Movement Health Score:
Common Questions

  • Displayed as a single number between 1 and 100 nestled inside a colored circle, the Movement Health Score is a consolidated metric calculated from the multiple metrics of any selected range-of-motion movement.

For example, Shoulder Rotation consists of IR, ER, Thoracic Spine Flexion and Thoracic Spine Extension. Kinotek analyzes and reports a separate, objective metric for each segment of the movement…then provides a single consolidated score (the number in the circle) to reflect the overall measurement versus the reference range.

For an entire Movement Health Report, a “total report score” is the average of all the individual movement scores.

  • There are 3 potential reasons for the disparity:

    1. The default ROM ranges may not be suitable for your patient/client.
ACTION: Adjust the metric ranges to more appropriately match your patient/client’s goals or expected mobility.

    2. There may have been some camera interference or a screening error.
ACTION: Follow our rescreen/troubleshooting steps here.

    3. Additional metrics may be needed to refine the score.
ACTION: Contact Kinotek on our Request Page to suggest new metrics for movements.

  • Everyone wants to know “how am I doing? How do I compare?”

Based on what you’ve told us, many use the entire Movement Health Report on every new client to answer these questions. The Score and report set a baseline, and enable a framework to inspire and measure improvement. Once your client gets grounded in their Score, you may open a discussion about the individual components of the Score, and how to improve.

One of our customers offers multiple services – chiropractic, physical therapy, massage – and uses the Movement Health Report and Score before and after each segment of care to show improvement, and, most importantly, to inspire sign-up for the next area of services.

  • No problem. Contact us and we’ll look it up for you.
